The Communaute des Eglises du Bon Berger Uganda is a Born Again Church located in the heart of Kampala, Uganda. This spiritual community, which serves as a beacon of hope and faith, has its roots in a Mother Church situated in Burundi. The church was founded at the end of the year 2016 by a dedicated trio of leaders: Deacon Elysée, Deacon Alida, and Deacon Joseph, affectionately known as Pastor Jo. Together, they envisioned a place where individuals could come together to worship, grow spiritually, and support one another in their journeys of faith.
Since its establishment, the Communaute des Eglises du Bon Berger Uganda has been a significant blessing to countless souls, particularly for the Burundian citizens residing in Kampala. The church has become a safe haven for these individuals, offering not only spiritual nourishment but also a sense of community and belonging in a foreign land. Through various programs and services, the church strives to meet the needs of its congregation, fostering an environment of love, acceptance, and mutual support.
In addition to regular worship services, the church hosts a range of activities aimed at engaging its members and the wider community. These include Bible study groups, youth programs, and outreach initiatives designed to uplift and empower those in need. The leadership team is committed to expanding the church's impact, ensuring that it remains a pillar of strength and hope for all who seek solace and guidance.
God alone is worthy of our devotion, praise, and worship. He is God, our Creator, and we are commanded to praise and worship Him. Psalm 96:9 says, "Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth." Psalm 29:2 says, "Give unto the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."
The house fellowship groups are usually the first unit of care Which offer love, care, and sharing and fosters communal living just like a family. There we can pray together, read the scriptures together, eat together and share our resources! It is a place to practice generosity and hospitality.
Making time for prayer and devotion every day trains and support you for spiritual warfare. There are times when we are faced with the devil in battle. In the circumstances like this, we battle in the spiritual through intervention and prayer.
Attending church each Sunday is a respite from fast-paced daily living. We slow down for two hours each week to reflect, worship God, strengthen our spiritual connections, and refocus our lives on Jesus Christ. We attend with a community of Saints who are all trying to be more Christlike and learn from each other.
Communauté des Eglises du Bon Berger Uganda has a long, proud history of serving the community of Uganda. Through the dedication of our leadership, pastors, and volunteers, we are committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ and are here to spread His message. We are open to worshippers of all ages and backgrounds, and strive to lead all who worship with us towards a deeper love for God.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
